The FloodWise Community Assistance program provides free technical assistance and customized research to communities across the country to decrease flood risk.
Our Research
The fact that the FloodWise team had all the expertise and could just jump right in really helped us. We didn’t know where to start and now we have a $4 million FEMA grant to get going.

Why we do this work
Floods are the most common (and among the most dangerous) disasters in the United States, and they’re getting worse. Yet local governments often struggle to find the time, resources, and funding needed to reduce flood risk. The team at FloodWise Community Assistance works with communities to find and implement projects that are effective, feasible, and beneficial.
